Not Religion, Then What ?

If it's not about religion, what is it?You ask a good question. I grew up in the “church” and it was all rules and regulations. It wasn’t until I went to college that I found out that God doesn’t want “religion”; He wants a relationship. He’s made this relationship possible by sending us His Son. (See John 3:16.) When Jesus died on the cross He paid the price for all the wrong things I’ve ever done (and there’s been a lot).Through Jesus I’ve been forgiven for all those things and I can now relate to God as my Father. Are there rules? Of course--every relationship has rules. But I found that the focus is on a living, growing relationship with God--not the rules. And, wow, what an adventure it has been. Are you interested in knowing about Jesus? Click here to learn about this awesome relationship that can be yours.

Religion Isn't Enough

Taken from www.notreligion.com

Why isn't my "religion" enough?Would it shock you to know that God isn't interested in religion? Religion is the human effort to reach God through rules and rituals. What God wants is for you to respond to His invitation to join Him in a relationship. This invitation came in the form of His Son, Jesus. Through His death on the cross, Jesus made it possible for you to be a part of God's family. And while every family has rules, the rules aren't what the family is all about. Religion can never meet our deepest needs; for that, it takes a relationship. You want to know how to have meaningful and purposeful relationships?

A Sinner (Poem)

I Am A Sinner
I Must Admit
Not Always In The Right
My Sins Do I Submit

. . .
For I Know By Doing So
You Will Forgive
It’s Called Confession
For You Do I live

. . .
For Without You I Am Nothing
Not Even Born
Non - Existent
Records Torn
. . .
Forgive Me Lord For My Ignorance
For I Am Unclean
My Slate Is Dirty
But Your Love Is Seen
